Zeiss Axio Scan.Z1 automated slide scanner for fluorescent and stained specimens

The AxioScan is an automated brightfield and fluorescent slide scanner which is capable of scanning up to one hundred slides in a session. It is equipped with two cameras: a color camera for stained slides and a monochrome camera for fluorescently labelled slides. It automatically finds focus and is capable of detecting tissue in order to prevent scanning of empty space. The Axio Scan is excellent for tile-scanning slides containing sectioned tissues, cells or virtually any thin material mounted on a cover-slipped slide.
